Definition

Scrum v/s Agile
Agile is ways of working rapidly, iterative with incremental approach, While Scrum is one of the most popular framework to become Agile, but yes there are more frameworks to practice Agile like Xtreme, Kanban, Safe.
Agile v/s Traditional
From Scrum.org, You can see the benefits in multi-direction when you move from traditional approach to Agile Approach.
1) Due to Iterations, Your visibility is continuous wrt time.
2) Ability to Change will not depend upon the initial requirement gatherings, You can change almost anytime with new evolution/adaptions.
3) Since you are performing continuous inspection, Your Product’s Business values will always remain intact.
4) Risk will be as less again with transparency and inspections at place in iterative approach.
Is Scrum only for Development of S/W
Scrum has been used to develop software, hardware, embedded software, networks of interacting function, autonomous vehicles, schools, government, marketing, managing the operation of organizations and almost everything we use in our daily lives, as individuals and societies.
How to learn and adapt Scrum
There are multiple online tutorial forums to learn:-
Udemy, Pluralsight, Coursera, LinkedIn have various Scrum tutorial, but the best way to understand is to read the official Scrum Guide from scrum.org

I would recommend, You should start exploring the scrum practice on one of the tools as well to gain expertise with practical knowledge.
Atlassian JIRA is the best and most widely used tool, where you can create scrum board and practice all below in Scrum framework.
Assessing your Scrum knowledge (PSM v/s CSM)
PSM is offered by Scrum.org and CSM is offered by scrumalliance.org, Though both are talking about same scrum principles, but holds different values as per below:-

In India, Exam Cost of PSM1, CSM is almost similar, Only PSM1 don’t require mandate training so it could be less.
How to prepare for Assessment PSM1
Here comes the Tips/Tricks/Links, following which you can clear the PSM1 Exam.
(I have been able to clear it with 92.5% in 1–2 Week Thorough Preparation, but I was practicing scrum from 3 years, So don’t worry take your time, Start steadily, Learn, Practice and then Appear, It will be easy )
- Please thoroughly read the Scrum Guide, to understand core concepts, It covers Majority of Exam Concepts.
- Start attempting the Scrum Open assessment until you start getting 100% in past five consecutive attempts, Give a try on below too. It also contains 4–5% of Exam Concepts.

- Practice above, unless you start getting 100% in last five consecutive attempts with in 30 minutes, Don’t be disheartened if first few attempts were not upto the mark, Go through the topics and then re-attempt.
- Practice all assessments with time bound manner,
- Actual Exam is open-book i.e. no proctoring over camera and internet is also allowed, But Don’t randomly search on google for at-least in first 45 minutes.
- Skip the complex question and note the number in notepad as there is no marking for review.
- Bookmark these links and Scrum guide and try to search in this if needed in last 15 minutes, as internet too have lots of wrong answers.
- Out of 80, 68 questions need to be correct to pass the Exam, hence please be fast, attempt easy ones to secure passing and do check the would, should and can wordings in the paper.

- Also if you register for training (its optional though), You can get 2 chances, 1st Chance in first 14 days and then if not cleared a second chance as well.
